I thoroughly enjoyed reading your stories ab...Ric,<br /><br />I thoroughly enjoyed reading your stories about Samuel Chase Woodfin and his brothers and their experiences in the Civil War period. Samuel Chase Woodfin was my great grandfather on my mother's side. My mother was Jane Virginia Woodfin and her father was Jasper Franklin Woodfin who was Samuel Chase Woodfin's son.<br /> <br />The stories of that time certainly show how terrible the conditions were for those who fought and also how terrible the sadness must have been when they returned home only to find it was no longer home.<br /><br />I appreciate the time and effort you put into this blog. <br /> <br />Robert L.
